Are you “going it alone?”… and how is that working out for you?

I am not sure if you know this about me and my background, but I used to organize parties/events for a living for almost 22 years… For me, it started as a “hobby”, or should I say, gathering friends of friends to have a good time doing fun activities together.

The events could vary from going to the park and playing flag football together OR it could be a party at a small local bar where we would invite our friends and have a DJ there…OR I would rent a bus or two and we all go to a concert together…the list goes on.

I am not going to go into all the different types of parties I ended up doing…but there were many… all the way up to having 5,000 people at San Francisco City Hall for a Halloween Ball.

That was the biggest event I ever did. ;-)

…Why am I telling you all this?… because I did learn some valuable lessons along the way that I would like to share with you…the number ONE lesson was that I would NEVER EVER be able to pull any of these events off ALL BY MYSELF… even the SMALLEST of them! I always had to bring in other people to help me.

Not only was it easier to pull off, but I learned quickly that I needed to Create the Right Energy around the event to then also be able to Attract and Excite the potential attendees that would join us… and then AGAIN, promote through these attendees to bring some of their friends of friends as well.

Do you see what I was doing here? Working together in a GROUP creates MAGIC… like an invisible intelligence and energy that you CANNOT EVER create on your own.
…and on top of that…it FUELED me with even MORE energy to pull off another successful event.

…And as usual, this all reverts back to how I LOVE being in Mastermind Groups… groups where I can leverage off of others’ energy, insights, smarts, connections and enthusiasm as well as bring my own insights, caring, wisdom and energy to the “party”… eh, read Group ;-)

So, in closing… As they say, Do NOT try “going it alone” when it comes to important things that you want to achieve in life… you MUST collaborate and work with others to reach the highest level you possibly can. I am a firm believer in the Magic Of The Mastermind Principles.

Like I like to say: 1 + 1 is NOT 2… it is “11”.

… I am just saying… Do “Suummmthing” about it and see the change it will make for you.
